I THINK SEAN GOT STUCK.... You never know whats under the water. Ruts, logs, and old tire... We were going to head up to Hard Rock... Sean's Dad moved up to Inverness so we stopped to pick him up for a trail ride. Thank you Ken for joining us. Citrus has a diverse terrain to Jeep in, the numerous rutted up roads are great opportunities to flex a bit. Put a small amount of rain and it turns into fun. After trailing up and down on 9,8, 4, 13. 2, we reached 19... Sean got hung up in some ruts and we pulled him out. We drove past another 4x4 club with a YJ and took a few bypass routs. We then headed South to Dames cave to show Ken and Luke, you need to hike about 1/2 mile in to get to them. What a cool place to visit.

Jeepin with Judd 2019 is in February and this year the trails are already shaping up to be some of the best yet. It was a cool 49 degrees when we headed South to meet up with the club and have a day of trail riding. We had a great time and spent the entire day riding out at the Clear Springs Ranch. If you are in the Central Florida area and have a Jeep... any Jeep, then come out to one of the meet and greats to check out what the club offers. It's Family friendly and an outstanding way to see what a Jeep can do. http://www.orlandojeepclub.com

Jeeptoberfest 2018 event took place near Ocala and is at the Markets of Marion each year. What a beautiful day to have an event. Three Levels of off-road Jeep mayhem! Vendors and Jeeps. It was great to meet up with some of the followers and Jeep club members, Daisy got some new shoes and the Black Pearl drove by. The proceeds go to charities and a good time could be had by all.
LOOK WHAT WE FOUND... We took a ride in the North end of Richloam. It was wet, muddy, and HOT. Deer, gators, frog, bugs, and snakes. We went in from the east side and rode trails all the way to the west side. Water crossings were fun. We then stopped at the fire tower and the general store. Randy even tagged a Jeep at the Fire tower. She also handed a Jeep club card to the guy from The Jeep Ranch as he stopped for gas. Good stuff and fun wheeling. This cottonmouth was one of the most beautiful specimens I have seen in a long time. Only 2 feet long but still a bit peppy. The pattern had not begun to change to the dark brown of older adults and the eye striping was well defined. A quick note: I have been working with reptiles for over 40 years and received training from FSU summer school programs in the 70s. This was the first time I got to use the tongs and they served me well. After filming it was released back into the swamp.

Night time Jeep ride through Ocala National Forest with the Orlando Jeep Club. Or a ride up to the bombing range Ocala is always a great place to explore. Trail rides are a lot of fun in the day time, at night the same trails you ride on take on a entirely new look. On this 3rd week of July we headed up to Ocala to meet up with the crew that would be doing one of the many trail rides the Jeep club offers. This month it would be at night. It rained buckets of cats and dogs. More rain on the way. We drove through two heavy storms on the way up and anticipated that there would be plenty of water to cross. Last months trip to Suburban Estates had boosted our confidence in the Jeeps ability to forge water so we were ready. Unfortunately we still have not put the lift on… 33” tire no lift and water up to 30”, this would be fun, so long as there were no holes. As the sun set the trails came to life, the lead Jeep saw a few deer that scurried off before we could get a glimpse. We did see some fire flies and that was a cool thing I had not seen in a few years. The chatter was good and not too many cow jokes.

Come ride along for a leisurely trip around a working cattle ranch in Bartow. Clear Springs Ranch. The trip is around 35 min with plenty of cows, birds, and critters. 2WD friendly but still a lot of fun. This reminds me of driving around on the ranch of Preston Wise while growing up. Good times and good memories. You have to ask Preston about his Mini bike story some time.

Rugged Ridge JK CB Mounting in a 2007 Wrangler. In our last trip with the Jeep club up to Hard Rock we did not have the CB hooked up yet. The YJ has had it for a while. This can cause some problems when you cant see if the person in front of you is clear. The mount is a good strong steel. It is easy to mount and on 2011s on up there are only 2 bolts. The 2007 needed to have the rivets drilled out. I only received 1 well nut with my kit so as usual, I improvised. I took some spare bolts and threaded them in to the existing holes.

Orlando Jeep Club Hard Rock Ocala New Years day 2018 New years day trail ride with the Orlando Jeep Club. We took a ride up north of Ocala to Hard Rock Off road park and boy was it cold, wet, muddy and rainy. This place offers up some of the most challenging trail rides around. Lots of hills and that's all fine... when it's dry. What a fun way to start the year off. There were a dozen jeeps from stock to modified and some of the stock Jeeps performed admirably, mine included. The JK with its street tires was tested to the max. We went up hills that I would have not ever tried before. If you are looking for a good Jeep club in the Orlando area check out Orlando Jeep Club. Thank you Hard Rock it was a lot of fun riding in your park today. Thank you Nina and Jim for the great trail leading job.

What happens when you put 33" tires on 18" Sahara rims under the wheel wells of a 2007 Wrangler? We found out that they rubbed on the inside. Solutions? One buy new rims with the right spacing, or get spacers. I have heard plenty of pros and cons on spacers, most cons come from improper installs or cheep 4 for $80 junk. Spidertrax offers up some good spacers with plenty of good reviews. They are on the pricey side but you often pay for what you get. So if you are content to see some big round rubber thing rolling off your Jeep, then get cheep. After putting the Spidertrax on the wheel fit perfect. The stance is good and there is no rub. The tires are from Radar. Renegade R7 M/T 33 x 12.5 x 18" A good looking tread with an aggressive look. The sound is not over the top and makes less noise then the 33s on the YJ. Install done by Tires Plus in St. Cloud Florida. Thanks guys for the great service, nice touch with the washing and shining up the tires. Two thumbs up.

FLORIDA JEEP RIDES - Riding Jeeps in Florida - whats your ride? Orlando Jeep Club Ocala ride October 28th 2017. Well we have officially done it. We joined the Jeep club and went on our first trail ride. Rich was our trail leader and there were around 26 jeeps. We follower behind a YJ with about the same highlight as we had. Just thinking if he makes it then we should also. Around 40 miles of trails done in about 3 hours. Water - Sand - Mud - some hills overall an easy trail ride. What we found out was the need for bigger tires and a slight life. Some water came into the nice new carpet but not too much. We had a blast and if you live in central Florida and are looking for a good group of people to go Jeeping with look them up. http://www.orlandojeepclub.com/ #Orlandojeepclub #1995wrangler #Floridajeeprides

1995 Wrangler YJ front brake caliper install. My brake calipers froze!! Friday I changed the brake line and cleaned the caliper, that did not work. We took a trip to visit Matthew's family on Saturday morning and most of the afternoon we had rain. Church on Sunday. A quick Pizza lunch and I started the 1 hour job of changing the front calipers...... 4 hours later I finished. The new calipers had some burrs in the banjo threads causing issues with the fitting.O'Reilly's help me out with some thread cleaners and we are now good to go. This is a how to video and not meant to be a definitive guide to caliper replacement. The MightyVac made bleeding the brakes a breeze.

Three Lakes Wildlife Management Area. Named for the three lakes that border the area, Three Lakes WMA preserves pine flatwoods, a significant portion of the Kissimmee Prairie, one of the last remaining expanses of dry prairie in the United States, and numerous other natural communities.

Riding the trails off International Drive over the past 30 years has provided a good view of the natural Florida wild life. There are miles of trails through pine flat woods and sand scrub. They boarder affluent treatment sand filter pits so stay clear of the fenced in areas. This area was much larger in the 80s before I drive cut into it and then South John Young development too chunks out. Now Encroachment is forcing wild life slowly away. The area is home to Bald eagles, gopher tortoise, deer, hogs, and countless reptiles. Fires in Florida are natural and vital to plants and. Fire ensure continued diversity of wildlife and native vegetation. Native plant that are resistant can then reseed the forest. Many animals depend on fire to thin out dense woods, and many native plants need fire as part of their life cycles. For more information on Florida and controlled burns see links below. Also a Link to the news cast of the event.

For over 25 years we have been riding the trails near Sea World. We have caught a lot of snakes and seen the area change over the years. Development keeps cutting more chunks out of this natural wildlife area. We are going slower then it looks, wheel responsibly and leave only tire prints behind and you will always have a good place to go. Tread Lightly friends. A swallow-tailed kite flew over head and there are bald eagles there as well.

Some times you have to take the long way to get a Slurpee. I remember a Saturday morning up in Amherst Mass, when my older brother Stephen got me to take a break from cartoons to ride his Trail 90 out to Rattlesnake gulch. We had lunch, cooked over an open fire. This morning Grandson and I took a ride up to Wa Wa to fulfill a Slurpee craving. I spotted a trail on the way so we took a ride down a bumpy Florida trail.
